Nuremberg is the second largest city in the State of Bavaria and features a variety of significant, historic artistic and architectural monuments. The Nuremberg castle is the town’s landmark, but the central market with the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) or the Felsengänge (rock passages) in the midst of Nuremberg’s old town should also not be ignored. The local zoo, the birthplace of the artist Albrecht Dürer, Nuremberg’s state theatre or the Nicolaus-Copernicus-Planetarium attract visitors and tourists from all over the world to the town in Middle Franconia.
With Nuremberg’s trade fair, the town is also an important location for conferences and trade fairs. Furthermore, many large and famous printing companies come from Nuremberg.
